Another vote of ....YUCK.
Stitching would be rotten, leather would be cracked at the bends ( not flexible as this seems to be ) and ;prym' snaps would be corroded ( I have feldflasches with corroded snaps just from being in the atmosphere for 70 years )

Got to agree with all of you hear once again, aged fake.

If you stand back and just ask yourself do all he parts fit the puzzle you get your answer on this lid
