What is this M40 helmets manufacturer (shape)?

Article about: Can you recognize what manufacturers stahlhelm the Finnish captain of the left is wearing? I think the angle of the skirt on it's back looks unusual....might be just my eyes

    The helmet is an M40 and Gunny nailed it, just an optical illusion.
    My apologises to the author , I only had this "version" that has obviously been nicked then!! Leon.

    Is it just me or is the split rivet/pin behind the vent and not in front?

    How accurate is this chart? If the maker's mark had corroded away, would I be able to tell by shape?

    Well kind of yes. When you look at lots of helmets you dont need the chart, each maker has its own characteristic thing. This chart works only on M35/40.
