    As far as I met the helmets which was stored by Soviet stocks, they was disassembled ( mostly leather part removed), and easily dumped in shellholes etc in the mid of 50's. Here in Estonia approx a year ago guys found near the Tallinn approx 500 pieces of them. I'am not wondered why they was not recycled- in the Soviet time the metal was not valuable, and after the Soviet union falls, a lot of peoples get millions on the metal recycling, the metal was everywhere...

    That's the one Polski.Thanks.I know I have the story in one of my gun mags. But, if they remained unknown for so long,so can WW2 helmets etc. As I stated...ya never know.
