Oh and BTW, I am always leary of these camo helmets.
For some reason I really like the look of this one though.
And like others have said, maybe the rust spots came after it was found from poor storage.

What is the price if I may ask? A lot can be learned about the seller just from that.
Hello,
Personally Im not keen, something about it doesnt seem quite right. Im no expert, but I wouldnt spend my hard earnt on it.
Could also have been ground dug then painted and put back in the ground for a bit.
Im sure the fellas on here will point you in the right direction with it. Good luck.
cheers.
The seller has not stated that it was ground dug.
Maybe it was but I am just making it clear.
What about the possibility that is was just sitting in a poor environment since the war which left the rust stains?
What are your thoughts on that idea?
Hi, I will go back to my first impressions that the "new" rust is a red flag for me. I agree with Krad that it may have been caused after removal from the ground but without a stonewall provenance to back that up I personally would not touch it with a barge pole. As I said though, when it comes to these cammo's whether they be original of fake, I have seen a lot worse efforts! You're call at the end of the day but that rust is a big concern. Leon.
Hi Guys,
I have a quick question regarding winter paint jobs on helmets.
Is there any reason someone would've painted inside the skirt?
I see a lot of winter helmets with original paint work on the skirt.
I'm looking at one online and it has winter paint inside the skirt.
The photo's are terrible and I can't see a faint outline of a decal.
The rust also looks too new? I can't tell what it is by shape.
What do you guys think of it?
Cheers,
A good winter camo helmet is extremely rare , the photos are way too bad to give any useful opinion.
