WW2 M40 Helmet - Is it right?

Guys, I'm interested in this helmet and would appreciate your advice. Is it a genuine WW2 M40 helmet? Do you see anything you don't like? Thanks again for having a look. P.S Thumb nails gone, I hope!

I do not like that black paint,but looks like it would come out easy.
If the price is right get it.

As Chris said, the spattering of black paint is probably from a post war overpaint and does detract from what is a good helmet. Maybe it cam be gotton off ( carefully )?????

looks well ,think its an m35 though but could be wrong

Looking at the vent holes, looks like a good Quist M40 to me !! Has been overpainted and stripped IMO

The question should be if you really want it ? I don't see much here worth spending cash on.
Save that cash for a decent example is my advice.

Looks like a size 62, which is a very small size, anything below 62 or above 68 had to be custom made, something to consider if you ever want to try it on or dont want something that looks like it belonged to a pin head/child, usually HJ wore the smaller sizes for obvious reasons, make sure the price is right.
