Re: WWII German Kriegsmarine Helmet?
Looks to be an ET64 M40. Might be a Kriegsmarine judging by the yellow "adler" Eagle. But sometimes the Eagle yellows by age and it is just the more common Heer helmet.

Re: WWII German Kriegsmarine Helmet?
Thank you for the information. How can I tell for sure if it is a Kriegsmarine or not?
-
Re: WWII German Kriegsmarine Helmet?
I do not truly know, unless I actually hold it in my hand and look.
Wait a bit, I am sure better observers will give you the answer, especially those with better eye sight.
Best wishes,

Re: WWII German Kriegsmarine Helmet?
The lacquer used to seat the decal will turn yellow sometimes and has a dull look to it as yours does.
The Navy decals have more of a metalic iridescence to them.
Your helmet is a nice army lid friend.

Re: WWII German Kriegsmarine Helmet?
Nice helmet , for me it's a KM decal.
Worth around 1100 - 1250 USD in that condition is my estimation

Re: WWII German Kriegsmarine Helmet?
I appreciate both your inputs, under a jeweler's loop the yellow almost looks like gold flakes. I wonder if this is the metallic iridescence you mentioned.
