    Dear gar,

the shell is original and looks exactly as it should. The liner obviously is a replacement, the liner band (ring) looks alright to me, but these things have been reproduced. Hard to tell from a photo.
For 160 pounds you got yourself a nice helmet with a repro liner which isn't bad at all. If the liner was original and the chin-strap was there, you'd have to pay around 400 pounds.

    Yours,

    Olaf

I would call it an original shell, with a cheap repo liner, If I were you, I would try to talk the dealer down (you price should be for the shell only- I would go 100 to 200 US dollars- is there any marks?)
