a bit of wear and tear but still a nice buckle.
Very nice buckle Jeff and as we spoke about a hard maker to get hold of. These Menden buckle makers were thought to have shared either machinery or bought from one another, look at this Dransfeld buckle and compare the eagle to yours

Very interesting Ben, and yes, those fierce looking eagles look very much the same Got the buckle for a good price and I like it overall as an early Heer. Certainly was nice not to pay what those "time machine" buckles go for, but those too are nice to have
For the longtime collectors, how is the commonality of this one? I do not see many available myself...
