1941 dated Heer EM/NCO belt buckle w/ leather tab

Just wanted to confirm one way or the other that this buckle is authentic.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

yes, I somewhat agree the more I look at it. The paint on the front is slightly darker than the reverse and I believe on the top edge I see two layers. Thank you for the confirmation - original buckle, but postwar repainted.
