Nice set I like the unit markings. This could be used on a combat display with an EM uniform. This was made pre war but I am sure there was a wear out period before you switched to a steel smooth finished buckle. On an officer display I would get a double claw buckle with a black belt.

I understand about the claws buckle, but it was common practice for Officers at the front, (especially in Russia) to wear EM/NCO belts and Y straps, not to look like an Officer in a snipers scope. It's a Südfront/Ostfront Tunic.

I agree It's actually beautiful. So crisp in it's contours and sharp lines/edges, especially having it in hand it's obvious. A faker will have a hard time recreating this!

Looks to be a parade aluminum buckle? In fine condition , Lars!

I actually don't know if it's a parade buckle. I doubt it because it still have a greenish coat of paint on the back. It seems to have worn off on the front.

    Regards, Lars
