Ok, I was going throusome of my boxes and came across this Heer buckle I have for ages. In fact it was my first buckle I bought years ago. But I saw the fakes on the sticky, and now this looks like a pigeonhead to me! And to make it evenworse its RZM stamped. I would be very disapointed if this turns out to be a fake, because for years I was telling everybody it was an original.
    Don't spoil my day please!

If you have been reading through the rouges gallery thread then you already know the answer, the buckle is indeed a fake, a pigeon head one with M4/38 (Seiper Markings) remember M4/44 was the only ever RZM marking on Heer buckles, sorry

    Hi Ben,

These fake buckles etc, that seem to be everywhere, do you know where they are made? Is it a big business for the fakers, silly question I suppose, they wouldn't do it otherwise

Just wondering if there is a big factory in Eastern Europe or India or something spitting this stuff out

    Cheers,

    Grant

Grant, they are actually made for re-enactors, if you look at the thread "see this site" there is obne such site selling buckles on there, and they are the moulded repros, very good copies!!!!
