Don't know what to think of this buckle. A four tab dress buckle but it has been painted. I think the box is zinc, it is way to heavy to be aluminum. I like the look of the eagle but the roundel doesn't fit the buckle very well. When you hold it up to a light you can see the holes. also the prong bar is round at both ends.

    Thanks for all opinions

Could it be a Heer Parade Buckle?

Kirby, a slightly unusual but period painted zinc heer IMO. The roundel may not be an original pairing to the box...not sure as heer is not a focus of mine. Perhaps this buckle started life as a parade buckle and was converted/painted for field use? Of course the latter points are only speculation.

Could be a mixer Kirby, look at the fixings on the rear for the roundel, looks like it has been maybe replaced at some point? Whether paint period applied then who knows!

    Hello,

are the crimps made of Alu ?

Looks on the pics like coper and replaced on the roundel ........

IMO the case is from a fake buckle and fixed a original roundel .

The color has no reason on this buckle .........

Thanks for the replays. I can't tell what the prongs are made off. I guess I will just sell it as and repo and get it out of the junk box.
