Heer belt buckle, opinions

This is my only heer belt buckle, i thought i would post it for opinions.
The maker is D&C and it is dated 1941, the leather tab is hard to see but it looks like its 1941 dated as well

Hi Paul, nice original buckle by Dransfeld & Co, the steel version is actually quite hard to get hold of, they come up for sale that often for some reason and yours has a tab on it. Is the tag marked Dransfeld? The tab is also the wrong way around, the shorter bit of the tag should face upwards (if that makes sense)

The tab is really hard to read but i can make out a capital R,A,and N and the date 1941 so i guess its DRANSFELD. The date is in the middle of the two ovals

Thats good then, still should be the other way round though for this maker here is an example for reference, note the very distinct beak of the steel version by this maker, very unique with no other like it

Paul, thats the norm in this case mate, nice buckle anyway

I have a D&C steel buckle with tab in good condition, buckle and tab both maked 1941, I will try to post the pics ASAP
