    Guys, just as a learning point look at the ears and eagle on this maker, the eagle is distinct to this maker and there is no other like it, also look at the square ears, again not done by any other maker

    I'm not sure how to tell either! I think the KM buckles were gilt steel for this maker, but I'm not sure.

    It could be gilt but hard to say due to the condition of the buckle, IMO I would have said more gilt than not to be honest

    on the reverse of this picture you can see olive green paint in the recesses so I would think it would be a Heer buckle.
