Left/right turned eagle?

Does someone know why are some eagles turned left and some right? Heard that it has something to do with the early ones?

Yeah why did they change from left to right facing?...

The eagle looking to it's right was only used for a short period of time before the switch to the eagle looking to it's left.

90% of them ive seen are looking to the right... That means the alu, zinc and steel ones. That cant be early
