It's an original buckle by Sieper.

Devin, as the lads have stated, the buckle is original and by Richard Seiper, Ludenscheid. The steel ones are easily recognised by that very distinct eagle

Thank you guys for the help. It is good to know all the items I received from her are originals as it may confirm her story about all the items coming from the same German vet. I will keep them together.
