    Hi John, the prongs are found on fake buckles (if they are hollow, hard to tell from pics) catch looks like it has been added either as a repair or to deceive, also got any better pics of eagle John? Trying to see who the maker is that will tell us more!

    I would guess someone switched the prongs from the Army to SS to try to sell the SS as an original. The front of this fake SS buckle is looks good and if you broke off that ugle catch it might fool some people.
