I was reading this topic in WAF,
B&N 43 Army buckle for review - Wehrmacht-Awards.com Militaria Forums
which describes the buckle marked as fake in Nash page 446 as original.
Anyone any thoughts on this?

Lenny there are mistakes in the Nash book and the Angolia but on the whole both are good books, the buckle is 1000% genuine and a typical Berge & Nolte buckle

Cheers mate, just marking up the amendment in the book...
Here are a few Lenny, very distinct eagle on these buckles, quite easy to recognise

There is also a bit of info about Nolte in this thread

The prongs must have made Nash think it was a fake.
It's funny how the prongs are touted as a pointer to a fake, then a known maker has prongs similar.... Surely collectors had sussed that B&N did their prongs like this years ago, or is it just a recent discovery?
Asmann also did some prongs like that on some early buckles
