I have a big soft spot for a relic and here is my latest. The buckle has no makers mark so would it be safe to assume that the makers mark on the leather is also the manufacturer of the buckle? Franz Reischaver Oberstein 1937.

    Thanks, Mark.

Mark, more than likely the maker, the buckle is in such poor condition it would be hard to tell from the eagle

A been there done that buckle.. The hook is not a "J.J. Stahl" but rather a Sieper and Sohn produced and confirmed by Guido.. Overall though a good worn buckle.. Gwar
    P.S. Thanks for sharing !! G

Thanks for the information chaps. Also attached to the belt is the remains of a bayonet frog without any markings. Photographed alongside a non relic one it is interesting to see how much it has shrunk after 70 years in the ground.
