    Any extra info would be appreciated. I know the aluminum is an Overhoff 1938(?) and as for the steel, I'm not sure.

    Nice relic buckles! I think the steel one might be R.S.&S. (Sieper), but Ben will know for sure.

    Well done! I would consider them rather special as they represent two lives lost in that epic battle...The same way I treasure my Stalingrad letter among my other Feldpost...
    These are also far better than the other items that were offered to you previously...

    Erno, yea I just looked through Ben's 'Heer Makers' thread and judging by the Adler it looks like Sieper.

    Glenn, I agree. And much cheaper too! I agree, they have a certain 'feeling' to them. What's your Stalingrad letter if I might ask?

    Two original worn buckles, the allu is indeed Overhoff and the steel R Seiper

    By "Stalingrad letter" I meant a Feldpost letter I have written by an Unteroffizier from the encircled 6th Army to his sister in Germany...
