Hi Zep, I dont recall ever seeing an aluminium M4/44 HJ buckle, the buckle looks original enough, the metal is the nice white aluminium, maybe Chad will chime in with an example or David or Markus might have seen one

Nice buckle, this is a less common maker for aluminum, but not rare. I think that M4/38 (RS&S) made so many aluminum buckles that when we see something else we are excited! Here are pics of my example from my collection

my thinking is that much maker have collaborated .

Some with supplied parts and others with blanks .

Currently i found a typical Paul Meybauer nickel silver HJ with only marked from Assmann but it must just arrived the next days .

Very interest to see this buckle .

Also known the Overhoff HJ's with additioned marking from Assmann in many variations ............
