Very nice buckles, David! I myself have a bit of OCD and also work in the addictions & mental health field so I can really understand the obsessiveness related to collecting! I don't think we have a problem, though I particularly like buckles #3 and #6

Hi, all. Just would like to bump this nice past thread of David's with a recent pick-up. Strange to me, the roundel on mine appears to have traces of red paint. Anyone have thoughts on this?

A good looking HJ Adam and three lots of Assmann specific marks!

You are not the first collector who has observed traces of "red paint" on a HJ. I do not have a clue what this almost red oxide is or was.
