Ouch! - now that is what I would call an "interesting" DJ.
My suggestion is and it is only a suggestion, that we are looking at an original die stamped DJ in brass. Ground excavated and heavily refinished. Original pin, pin shroud and claws have been replaced with an aluminium set. Last and not least, the original "C" catch which has disappeared by erosion from being buried in the ground, has been replaced by a "stick on", aluminium bridge catch. In this instance, soldered or brazed into position by signs of the mounting rectangle and the solder or whatever, detritus.
An interesting DJ. However in answer to the question - the proverbial "Curates Egg".
Regards and best wishes,
David
What do you think about it,buy for little money or not?
Hello maxxx ,
IMO that is a cast fake !
Never seen such a alu die stamp buckle with this early manufacturer code .
You must think about that all DJ buckles wear bevor 1938 and than they must give up them to hold a HJ buckle ..........
All alu buckles from Overhoff are stamped with RZM M4/27
As david told , is another option but you will make it out on weight ..........
Regards ,
Markus
I'm searching for

I agree with David: original Overhoff box with replaced alu post-prongs set and added alu catch
Looks like the catch has been glued on!...
