Hello,

i see three different face colors on the buckle . Looks sharp to the edge from the runic . There you see the Nickel plating .

On the higher flat field of runnic you see the color variation from steel and a little rest of the brass coating .

I know often that's nickel platet steel buckles have a primer coating from brass ..........

Look on the picture :

Green > nickel plating

blue > steel

red > brass
