For what reason did they scrach the RZM code ?

I think it is just worn, but it could have been scratched off. Sometimes, transitional markings were scratched off at the factory after the switch was made to the regular M4 prefix RZM numbers. I know for certain that Assmann did that.

I have the same buckle a you can't see the RZM or the 7. Chad Williams told me the markings were RZM 72. He said this is very common and with these.
