Tag is anyway a wrong form, as it is for cloth (A4).
Maybe they did not have others, who knows?
It also could be positioned by some wise guy!

Hello Wim ,
in over 30 years i see some other buckles with such a tag .
Wy not , who knows ......
-
Yes, I know, but according to whatever the RZM-regulations, it was
wrong, as is also the color. There are various notes about this!
I also know dealer's put loose tags to various items in the early
1970's, probably while they did not know how regulations were!
And so "problems" were caused, that exist until these days.....

Hello Wim ,
the buckle comes with a small lot .
HJ badge and some sports awards and a Gebietsdreieck from Nordrhein out of a older women in
Mönchen Gladbach . Have bought the lot for 50 Euro .

There’s a bunch of M4/42 HJ buckles with this type tag. They are all within 20-40 digits of each other. Who knows when then tags were put on the buckles but most of the buckles are close to mint condition.

I had no comment on the buckle, but the blue tag.
Whatever was done, I don't care, it is not correct.

One of the unknowns that maybe one day will get resolved

Many thanks Wim, interesting facts and a plausible idea as to why
