Here is my new HJ. A very interesting buckle and a believe a rare bird as well . The roundel, prong bar and prongs are magnetic. The box and C catch are not, so think these are brass.

Interesting maker mark here. I searched the HJ/DJ threads and on a previous thread David North posted a DJ with RZM 40. So, based on the information there I believe the maker = M1/40 C. Meinel & W. Scholer (Klingenthal)

    Let me know opinions etc.

Thanks Ben. When I saw it I was 95% sure it was good and rare. Then you gave me the "bite the arm off to the elbow" order, and I knew it was a keeper...

    Hi weller

A rare and desirable buckle for sure, and thank you very much for showing! Meinel & Scholer would seem the likely manufacturer. The icing on the cake would be a M4/6 marked HJ with the same design characteristics.

    Kind regards
    Kurt

Thanks Kurt. If anyone has an example of a M4/6 HJ buckle, please post. Would be interesting to compare.
