Hello Gents,
this is an interesting buckle. The maker is not common and as a DJ is a rare mark. This buckle was a 2 piece DJ turned in during the 1938 conversion process and turned into an HJ. I have never felt that a maker mark on a conversion buckle increased a conversions value as the makers of the parts were different. At one point in time I was collecting conversions by maker and then thought that it was a dumb idea after I had close to 2 dozen of them. I believe that I now possess the RZM 40 DJ which once belonged to David, if the group would like, I can post front and rear photos of it for reference.
