New addition - HJ/DJ conversion buckle

Article about: This is my newest buckle, a HJ/DJ conversion, originally made by Steinhauer & Luck, Lüdenscheid. I bought this one from a private seller with the help of another forum member.

I have another question. (Big surprise)

Were the conversions performed only on the normal-sized DJ buckles, or the small ones as well?

Thanks again, Ben! That was my thought as well, because I've read that the small buckles weren't regulation.

It would be a very special thing if one were to be found.

You would have to stamp out a small roundel like on the 35 mm SA style. Never say never but I doubt they ever produced a small HJ roundel. I think it was Bill X that had a HJ with a pebbled field.

The small DJ buckles (referred to as "children's buckles"), not being regulation items, were expressly excluded from conversion in the order published in "Reichsbefehl".

    Kind regards

I have (2) pebbled HJ (Bills buckle is now in my collection) it is an Assman prototype, and the other is a solid nickel Weimar buckle blank that was repurposed at the factory (pebbling is on the reverse of buckle)
I will try and post links to them on another site if you would like

I would love to see them! The Weimar conversion sounds especially interesting.
