I sorted through about a 150 HJ buckles yesterday helping my buddy Garry pick out 20-30 to keep in his collection. It gave me a good prospective of what is common and it surprised me that I didn’t find more interesting markings.

The Ges.Gesch. stamp makes that buckle very interesting for sure. Here is a P&C I have that has multiple stampings.

Looks suspiciously like a ground Assmann, with the A, A&S and the 17 ground off.
The eagle also is Assmann I believe.

    Hello Kirby ,

    your buckel is made by Assmann > A&S ges.Gesch. RZM 17 .

And was clearified to trade by P u.C ......that's my opinion about .
