Camo LW Buckle

Article about: I like what I see. I have seen a few of these field painted buckles. (I have one in my collection) and have noticed that the paint is not always the exact same colour. Very close...but not a

    To sell in France for 300 €. Peoples say it is good at 50 % and 50 % it is fake....any opinion?

    Well the buckle is 100% original by Aurich, the paint is not factory applied the original colour is Luft blue as per the rear of the buckle, the question is has the tan coloured paint been applied period or post war and aged you would need good close up shots to determine that.

    Michel another way might be to look at the paint colour on DAK helmets, if you study pictures on dealers sites or any helmets that are posted on the forum this might give you an idea if the paint on that buckle is period applied or not

    I actually think it stands a chance but really hands on inspection might be better or even post it in the helmet section and let Doug have a look
