You shouldn't pay $25. You can find some decent Luftwaffe buckles for $50-60. Personally I wouldn't buy a denazified buckle unless it was an ultra rare buckle. The only one I have ever purchased was a police buckle and that was because it was on a very nice belt.

Well, I collect also denazified buckles and $25 is a cheap price. Prices are rising so I do not belive it is easy to get some in similar condition for any cheaper.

As the total insignia has been obliterated, not just the swastika, I wonder why someone would retain such an item as a war souvenir.

I have shown a similar one on the forum in the past. It was totally de-nazified on BOTH sides. However, this was done by the original German PoW owner. He lated traded it to a British soldier from whom I bought it. Mine came with the belt as part of a group of items.
