Erno: You would go $125 for the buckle I first posted but $140 is not bad. You would go $150 for the "World War Relics" which you called steel but I believe it is aluminum. Correct?
I meant the steel Assmann buckle with tab that is also for sale on that website. Personally, I prefer that one because it's in nicer condition, but it's also a more common buckle. If you like the aluminum one (droop tail), offer $150 or so. You will not be overpaying at that price. Like Ben says, if you like it, buy it. If you don't think you'll feel comfortable with it, wait for another one. There will be others, but it could be a while until one shows up for a good price.

    Ben, Erno, & Kirby,

I have been doing some close comparisons between the Luftwaffe crank catches Ben's thread shows and the buckle I have listed. I do not see any with the same shaped drooped tail. Nor do I see any with the same shaped left wing along the top.
    What do you think?

This buckle was made by the same company as the one in your first post:

Crank catch Droop tail with leather makers tab: Need help on this one

Look at the eagle, berry and unusual prongs.

This next one was made by the same maker as the example being sold by World War Relics:

    Crank catch Luftwaffe

    Thanks,
