Mate its not an Heer one, I dont study these as much, for a guess it would have to be Assmann or Overhoff?
Ben
Here is the tab. Sorry not a great pic.
Still on the belt, but there is a problem there. A "Biker" had the belt, which he covered in spiked studs I took these off and filled the holes with a bit of polish. Still it displays OK.
Cheers, Ade.
Hello Ade, nice bucle !
here's mine (no tab)
Ade, can you read what the tab says? I would be interested to know of possible? Matt, yours is definitely made by Assmann
PS Ade, any chance of a picture of the rear of the buckle also?
Ben
Here you go Ben.
If I am reading it right, the maker is “Max Koberster, Landsberg / Warth 1935”.
Cheers, Ade.
Hi Ade, your buckle is made by Assmann also, this crank catch variant and pebbled rear is typical of this maker, the tab may have been added or that firm on the tab may have been a sub contract firm who bought buckles from Assmann and added their own named tab, this did used to happen
Ben
Hi Ben, the belt leather is aslo marked to this maker too but the stamp is poor so I don't think I will be able to catch it in a pic. You will see it when you come over
Glad to know the maker. I will amend my files according.
Cheers, Ade.
Cool thanks for the info
Did the plant switch dies or just offer different styles ?? Odd in WAR.. Perhaps it was something due to the raw material or just plain unknown to me ??
