The buckle is a eastern European fake, probably the worse fake out on the market, if you see any buckles with a rear the same as this they are fake

In the east of Europa, they are everywhere, at the end of june, I'm going to Prague where the flea market is a nest of these buckles.

Could anyone elaborate as to why it's fake or why it's made so obviously fake?

Does the backside being large like that make it fake?

Because there is no RZM on a lw bukcle.
When you make a bucke, you need two molds and here you have one of "quality", the other(back) is not beauiful, don't exist.
