Nice and interesting Luftwaffe buckle. So exactly what are the facts/opinions on the maker? For sure not Reitz ?

I have been told Reitz only made cloth items. I can think of 5 styles they produced. Luftwaffe, Heer, KM. Werkschutz Reitz and the one with Recht en Trouw and the Wolfs Angle.

Out of interest Jeff, why do you say not Reitz?

Reitz was indeed a clothing compagny. Probably a Indian Caps (also located in Antwerp!)made buckle to me.

I just recall seeing Reitz listed as a maker twice on page 1 of the Luftwaffe makers thread. Markus said not sure if they are maker but they are the S&D company.

I actually believe these buckles to be made by Reitz, again there is no proof for or against

I would tend to agree with Kris on the possible maker. Reitze was a clothing manufacturer, while Indian Caps certainly made some metal insignia, such as SS cap badges.
