I bought the entyre Indian Caps factory in the early '90 ties. Made several threads , on this forum, regarding it.
Not much time now to develope my story now.
But I'll try to do asap.

That would be interesting Kris, especially if you gave evidence they made these buckles

Shame Kris, for me and IMO these buckles were made by Reitz until evidence can be shown otherwise. Like Markus I have never heard of the Indian Caps factory and it has never really been mentioned in the buckles circle. I am not never they couldnt have but until I have proof then I have my opinions. I shall look further into this as and when time permits

Hi Guys, this is the kind of thing which perks my interest. Let us try and forget any kind of collector lore and discover what is known. It should be an interesting debate.
Here is my take on this:
1) We know Reitz made clothing for the Germans.
Here is a nice site about the factory:
Reitz info
Do we know they made stamped metal insignia?
2) We know Indian Caps made stamped metal insignia.
3) Both companies were located in Antwerp.
4) Was there any kind of interaction between them? Did Reitz actually make any metal insignia or did they contract out to Indian Caps, and then sell them?
5) The plot thickens more. SS insignia collector attributed by some to Reitz but apparently not so:

It seems Reitz never made any insignia, not even cloth?
Cheers, Ade.

Two interesting threads Ade but for me its still the same question, we can all speculate, but no where at the moment is there any defining evidence to say who actually made the buckles, its all assumptions, as per my previous thread an interesting topic to further investigate
Ben
This is what makes collecting fun though
