New Luftwaffe Belt Buckle

Hey guys, I have a Luftwaffe Belt buckle that I recently purchased. I do not know much about belt buckles, and I made the mistake of buying it off-the-cuff. I would just like to know if it is original or not. To fuel my skepticism, I had Paul of LakeSideTrader examine it. He also said he thinks it might be fake, but I just want to be 100% sure. I do not want any fakes contaminating my collection

It scares me that mine doesn't have the textured reverse around the eagle, and also that the eagle on mine is not near as detailed as your buckle. But, then again, I wouldn't know if the textured reverse is a red flag or not. Maybe the eagle is less detailed because the fine lines have been worn away. The buckle obviously has been through a lot. It had a lot of dirt and stuff on it when I received it. I have attached a picture showing it originally.
(the belt that came with the buckle is in the picture, but for some reason the person who sold it to me says they do not have the original belt with it?)

I'm also leaning towards reproduction given the look of the eagle and the odd look of the ears on the box. The belt hook is also not very convincing.

Have you got better pics of the eagle and end of the prongs? I think it could be an original by Bruder Schneider, the ears and the catch look like one made by him, here is another Bruder Schneider Lufte from another thread
