Opinions Needed on This Luftwaffe Buckle

Not sure about this one...photos are a little dodgy. I'm supposed to go and view it in person tomorrow.

Buckle looks original to me, possibly a Assmann made buckle but looks like its been chromed, hard to tell from the pics, belt is also original

Thanks. I've read about an early variant, like this, with a silver coating/no pebbles outside of the laurels, but have
only seen one elsewhere online.

Look at the rear of the buckle, it should tell you its original colour, this is a steel one so I doubt it is early, they were aluminium until 1940 then they changed to steel. I will find a picture of an Assmann steel luftwaffe buckle, have a look at the catch and see if they are the same

Picked up the belt today and took a few better pictures. The catch does look like the Assmann above. The belt is named and in great shape but does't have a makermark. One end says E38.
