Strange Luftwaffe buckle

I saw this for on the Internet and I have not seen a Luftwaffe like this before.

A weird fake or a nice original?

You are right: strange buckle, but I don't like it: the reverse cut prongs, the rivets, the LG with star markings, Louis Gottlieb?, IMO it is a fake buckle, but....

Very strange, but interesting buckle. Not one I've seen when I was collecting Luft buckles.

Indeed quite an oddity.. The pebbling doesn't seem consistent around the edges, However the roundel seems to have a deep strike.. The attachment process of the front piece is crude to say the least.. The maker mark was not found by myself or indicated in a thread search of known producers.. I am curious as to other opinions as well.
