Tan painted luftwaffe

Article about: Hi This tan painted luftwaffe was in my collection buy. I'm usually not interested in field painted items but I would keep this one if it's real. Thanks for any opinions. Kirby

Has a nice patina going on that would be hard to fake - I like it!!!!

Hard call that one Kirby, to be honest you would be the best man to tell having the buckle in hand. I would personally be a bit weary of the the rust spots on there, some are old but there are spots of what look like new rust bit coming through.

The rust is what has me wondering. This collection came out of a very dry area just like here in Colorado. I'm sure colletors who live in wet climates have to deal with different problems. The buckle looks better in hand than in the photos. Thanks

I really don't see any problems with this buckle, regardless of the rust stains, I do like the paint on this one...wouldn't mind having it in my collection!

I agree about the rust appearing new, besides that, the paint is very convincing to me. I have owned a few items with original tan camo, and this paint looks exactly like it.
