DDR Volkspolizei schirmmütze
Good evening all,
Today I have received a new addition to my DDR collection. It is a 1973 produced Volkspolizei schirmmütze. For it's age it looks unused and it is in great condition (I put the paper on the inside myself).
I just love the look of it.
I am happy to add this visor to my collection and this will bring my total to 3 DDR visors. The DDR cabinet is starting to fill up nicely.

Very nice!
The older the item, the better the quality! Even with caps from the early 70's you can clearly feel that they are slightly superior in construction and material to their later counterparts from the 80's. Good pick up. Always look for that older style sweat diamond.
A very nice cap, and a worthy addition to your collection. However... although you might already know this, but the 'L' date code was used again in 1987.

Love it Mate I also have one in this form.
Very nice cap and as said before the 60s and 70s gear is better quality.
