1856 was the former Robert Lubstein (Erel) factory--after the war they were taken over by the DDR in 1950 and became a VEB.
They also went by the name Emhage.

Infantry. This most probably had the tricolor cockade, which was replaced with the Staatswappen in 1962:

One example from my collection. LuSK-visor. No date (as there's no sweatshield in it anymore), but it is from the 1961-1965 period (as there's no SRG-cockade underneath it, nor any traces of one).
