I have order a cheap group of 4 visors off of ebay for around £40. Included was a 1962 dated “transport visor” that has been messed with the addition of a airforce cockade. My question is, did the transport police use an embroided cockade in 1962 or a metal cockade, and is it accepted in this area lf collecting to replace the bad cockade with the correct one?
Btw the yellow text on the label is an accepted form
Uniformen der DDR
On the bottom of the page this person shows a example with the yellow font on a different visor type.
A (somewhat bad) translation accompanying the photo.
Officer's cap Traffic police with 3 tucks. This rhombus is not in green, but in gray. The not so common is the yellow print
Thanks for the help in advance.
EDIT: just as was about to post this i have noticed the transport police has different piping, what group did this visor belong to anyway?
Double edit : odd symbols come up with quotation marks
