I recently saw this hilarious NVA educational film and wanted to share it. Some nice early uniforms on display here...

I have no idea what this was about.. But seeing how some people didn't seem to be able to walk down a flight of stairs was fairly amusing.

Here is another fascinating educational film from the NVA, about new recruits entering service. Here we can see first pattern drillich uniforms in wear (the ones without lower pockets).
