new stuff (actually lots more, but not enough time to take proper photos):
Yet another Hungarian M50 helmet - this one is from the 1960's I think, with new-looking riveted (and not stiched) chin-strap:
Hungarian para-troopers' folding shovel - black plastic handle (there is a white handle variant also):
again some really nice items fabe i notice your tanker helmet is the three crown ribbed type as opposed to four ribs so has more in common with the ww2 period soviet tanker helmet thanks for sharing
Regards James
More new stuff:
This one is actually a Soviet item (I have some CCCP bits & pieces, but they don't warrant a full thread yet - so I'll display them here):
Unissued Soviet Navy wheater-proof helmet - factory tag is still present - size 59, date: 1954
If anyone has any archived photos of this item is use, do post it here...I couldn't find any.
THX - Fabe
update:
Another Soviet item (but I'm sure, that used by the Hungarian People's Army as well) - a tanker's headphone with assorted bits in a carrying bag - which is personalised (can't make it out thou'). Russian letters on the bag as well, painted in yellow:
It still has a microphone (ususally I see these without it), not sure about its' age... maybe 1960s (?) Anyone knows?
A nice "it seen some action" item...
some recent pick-ups:
unissued M65 Hungarian winter coat ("Mikádó") - date inside is 1966:
unissued M85 Hungarian winter coat ("Mikádó") - date inside is 1985:
unissued (factory paper-tag is still attached) M87 tri-colored (Rába) camo-patterned winter-coat - as used by para-troopers and border-guards only - date inside is 1989:
...and a photo from the early 90s, Hungarian para-troopers wearing tri-color (rába) M87 uniform - including the M87 winter-coat:
Hungarian parade M50 helmet (pre-1956 revolution) - this is my third parade helmet, but this one has the best looking decal:
Finally, some old photos of Hungarian troops from the 1970s, wearing the M65 winter-coat and M70 helmets:
Cheers,
Fabe

The folding shovel is a Polish made entrenching tool for para- and recce units. Adopted by Polish Army in 1971, still in use up today. Very reliable and handy item, I use such an example when exploring with metal detector (almost indestructible). As regards markings, you can observe letters KT in the circle with number - it refers to "Kontrola Techniczna" - technical control.
Looking closer to the presented item one can observe that constructors were probably inspired with German WWII folding e-tool (the same shape of shovel blade and solution of the folding mechanism).

superb items fabe now how many m50's do you now own
Regards James
THX James - I just took these pics - 2 helmets are still on the way, so they are not on the photos...
11 M50 helmets so far - as you can see (on the photo with flash), they are all different colored - the back row 2nd & 3rd helmet has a special brownish-green glossy anti-infrared plastic paint second-coat on top of the regular green.
In the front row, 2 parade helmets with decals, and an army-base fireman's helmet (with special silver anti-heat paint on top of the green and a "PV" (Polgári Védelem = Civil Defense) helmet with the same kind of paint job.
( German IF8 "Infanterieanhänger" wheel in the backround also )
