Hungarian "Cold War" Collection 1945 - 1990
Article about: It's the same cotton-filled material which the Red Army introduced in WW2 (Telogreika), which was excellent against the cold - and possibly was more fire-poof... QUOTE=Scout;937204]Nice find

M1970 canteen - all in different shades of green and brown - all unmarked. Again, the grey painted is for Hungarian Workers' Militia (Munkásőrség)
Fabe, thanks to you, I finally found out who owns the Hungarian gray canteens 70M. I have a small question:
Green canteens - army, grey canteens - Munkásőrség, - how owned "sand -colored" canteens? (left)

Hey- THX. I think that's army as well...maybe for troops served in Afganistan and the middle-east. As far as I know, this canteen is discontinued since the late 1990s/early 2000s.
Here is this M70 canteen from my collection with rare M87 tri-color "rába" camo cover and the M93 four-color woodland camo (the current uniform of the Hungarian army - but I just heard, soon all the uniforms are going to be re-designed!)

Hi, Fabe!
if I may, I would like to ask another canteen question. On the 50M canteens often found such an abbreviation "BZ" (instead of the more usual "HR")
Maybe you know what it means?
Thanks,
Michael
