i would have to say "grey anodized finish". i know VERY little about belts and buckles. i will have pictures of the belt taken tomorrow.
i bought this from Ruptured Duck advertised as rural police belt and buckle set.

oh, should i feel a little "cheated?"
is this a common mistake by naive buyers such as myself to "rely" too much on the description set by sellers?
i like belt and buckle anyway, but do YOU think this is a nice set?
thanx for looking at this , sir.
i will have photos of the belt posted tomorrow

    Hello ,

three sorts of police are known .

    1. Gendarmerie and Schutzpolizei , silver finished

    2. Traffic and water police ; gild finished

    3. Fire protect police , from grey to black finished

Your shown buckle is a real good one .........

But must see the belt complet to say it matches with the buckle .................
    Regards ,
    Markus

Nice original two piece buckle, I must agree with the rest and for me looking at the pics I think it is a Gendarmerie and Schutzpolizei that has been painted, it does not look like the burnish of a Fire police buckle, but the better pics will reveal all
