Hi Guys, these have been around a long time now, but I think these might still well fool the unwary.

This came into work with a lot of other bad items. I thought it was worth showing here.

Tell tale sign is the regular circular arrangement of the dotted background not found on originals.

This one has been aged with some old metal polish and the highlights of the paint removed. Note the copper coloured metal used and the bright steel pin too.

    Cheers, Ade.

I notice that a pristine example of one of these stinkers has sold for
$250 US on the Emedals site , item # G16269. There are some shockers
    in that inventory.

Thanks for the Info...I don't recall ever seeing one of these...the unusual dot-pattern is definitely the feature to remember, along with the Reverse Catch, which is an oddity itself...facing the wrong direction too...
I regularly encounter Original Black Versions starting at $100-$125...
    cheers, Glenn

These things pop up reasonably regularly. Jamie Cross also has one listed "for the variant collector".
It can be anybodys for the paltry sum of 99 GBP.

Poor old emedals, sadly often tainted with the 'dodgy' brush these days.

    Thanks Guys.

These used to be sold openly as reproductions by a British site who specialised in framing medals. They do not seem to sell the repro Third Reich items anymore.

    Cheers, Ade.
