Re: 20 Juli 1944 Verwundetenabzeichen Adolf Hitlers Wolf Lair bomb survivors
The site is not one where I would go to buy authentic material.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: 20 Juli 1944 Verwundetenabzeichen Adolf Hitlers Wolf Lair bomb survivors
Would anyone really be happy if they could just go and buy whatever they want when they want? Sounds good but would you appreciate those items as much as those you worked and saved for?
Is a 20 Juli Verwundetenabzeichen really worth this amount of money? I don't think so. It's only worth what someone will pay for it. That doesn't give a true value of this piece.
If I offer £1000 for it and someone else offers £2000, which is the correct value if either? The seller will take the higher amount of money obviously but it doesn't make it worth that.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

I agree 100% - I just had a quick peek and you do not have to look hard for "questionable war memorabilia" to put it very diplomatically.

Re: 20 Juli 1944 Verwundetenabzeichen Adolf Hitlers Wolf Lair bomb survivors
As I stated earlier in this post. I was only looking for references for wound badges and came across this site. I have no idea what this site is about, but it looks to be a bad one. I just wanted to learn more about the badges that were given for this event. I am a new collector and I know that this has probably been discussed many times, but it is new to me and maybe new to some others that have joined this forum.
Regards,
Sam

Your search for knowledge is most commendable, Sam! I believe there have been some threads in the past regarding the badges in question - you might search for them if you wish.

You are probably right there Rod, but I have seriously often contemplated selling them for an RK !!

Don't even think about it, Nick!
I would cry for you. I have been secretly "in awe" of your collection since my membership date on the forum.

P.S. I'll take 'em if you get rid of them

Re: 20 Juli 1944 Verwundetenabzeichen Adolf Hitlers Wolf Lair bomb survivors
Not something I would spent my money on without knowing provenance.
Who are the expert telling this is real ?
Also there is alot of bad items on this size red flag.

Re: 20 Juli 1944 Verwundetenabzeichen Adolf Hitlers Wolf Lair bomb survivors
Most originals reside in private collections of "first generation" collectors. So they never appear for sale. I think (& correct me if i'm wrong Ade),but i think an old school collector who's an occasional visitor here has one. Stewy
